Magineke AB is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

Location: Falun, Sweden

2. Data we process

When you contact us, we may process your name, email address, telephone number, company, role and the content of your message.

For a career enquiry or job application, we may also process your area of expertise, work experience, CV, cover letter and other information that you choose to provide.

Basic technical data, such as IP address and time of access, may be processed in security and operational logs by our website hosting provider.

3. Why we process data

We process personal data to:

  • respond to questions and enquiries,
  • prepare, enter into and perform consulting agreements,
  • manage career enquiries and recruitment,
  • maintain the functionality and security of the website, and
  • comply with legal obligations, such as accounting requirements.

4. Legal basis

Depending on the situation, processing is based on steps taken prior to or the performance of a contract, legitimate interests or a legal obligation. Our legitimate interest is to communicate with clients, candidates and others who contact us and to recruit relevant expertise.

Where consent is required for specific processing, we will ask for it separately. You may then withdraw your consent at any time.

5. How long data is retained

Contact details and correspondence are retained for as long as needed to handle the matter, normally no more than 12 months after it has been closed. Information in an unsolicited application is normally retained for no more than 12 months after our last contact, unless we agree otherwise.

Information connected to an agreement or required by law is retained for the legally required period or for as long as needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. It is then deleted or anonymised.

6. Who may receive the data

Only people who need the data for their work may access it. We may engage providers for email, website hosting, document management and IT support. They may process data only on our instructions and with appropriate safeguards.

If data is processed outside the EU/EEA, we ensure that a lawful transfer mechanism and adequate protection are in place. We do not disclose or sell personal data for another party's marketing.

7. Cookies

Magineke does not use advertising or marketing cookies on the website. Essential technical functionality and security logs may be used to deliver and protect the website.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Contact kontakt@magineke.se to exercise your rights. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information.

9. Complaints and updates

If you believe that we are processing your data incorrectly, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.

We may update this policy when our business or processing changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
